About this Image

This hard X-ray (3-10 keV) view of IC443 was obtained by the EPIC-pn camera on XMM-Newton. (The field of view is 25 x 27.5 arcminutes.) Superimposed is the 95% error circle for the position of the pulsar as given by the EGRET gamma-ray detector on the Compton-GRO spacecraft.
